a stay of execution from life

would you believe it it's that time again, english time
althought techinically it's not actually that time since I have english at a different time on tuesdays as I do on mondays, but I don't care for technicalities

currently I am bored. again I have a relief teacher, this time she is a rather scary woman whom we have had before... she never seems to notice that noone actually does any work
but I digress (always wanted to say that), as I mentioned before, I am currently undergoing a slew of boredom... this is my entertainment

I feel the need to regale the events of the day, so here we go
* morning; upon hearing the sound of my alarm at ten to seven, I promptly rolled over and ignored it before hitting the ever so handy sleep button... I procceded to repeat every five or so minutes when the alarm would go off again. That is until my mother deligated the task of waking up my sister and I to my brother. He then procceded to enter my room, yell at me to get up and play tug-of-war with my blankets. Not fun.

Usually my dad drives my sister and I to school, however, he is currently interstate for a business conference, he will be returning this afternoon. As such, my mum drove us to school. My dad works rather far away and therefore is usually in quite a hurry to get out of the door. Not the case with my mother. As a result, my sister arrived at school late for her early morning tutorial and I arrived just in time to get to my first lesson... which leads us to

* biology; in todays lesson, the first I have gone to in a week as a combined result of illness and an art excursion, we did a prac. It involved chopping up liver and potato, forcing it to undergo some fairly unpleasant processes, including and definitely limited too: boiling in the microwave, grinding with a mortar and pestle. We then dropped these mangled pieces of potato and liver into seperate test tubes with 4ml of hydrogen peroxide and two drops of detergent for thirty seconds and thus recording the resulting froth of oxygen, water and detergent. All of this was to see the enzyme catalase in work.

This prac led to the invention of a new motto by lucy and myself
[insert word here]
[insert word here] good
[insert word here]
just like you should

this started with catalyse, and has expanded to use several other words, including, and defintely not limited too: enzyme, modernise, magnitogorsk, stalin, industrialise. Many of these occured during history, my third lesson in which lucy sits next to me again, lucy in turn sitting next to oscar as well as myself. (insert snigger at oscar and lucinda... it's a movie)

* art; in today's art lesson we travelled to the middle school to cut things up in the style of our current artist in residence... usually only the year tens do this, however, my teacher thought it useful. It was quite enjoyable, I proceeded to slice up an old bag of mine, a relic from the time in which roxy was the most awesome thing in the entire world. It has been sitting in my wardrobe untouched for the past four or so years, I felt it needed to contribute to my life some more.

In the course of cutting my bag I managed to slice into my hand with a stanley knife... not the most enjoyable experience. It stings quite a bit but I have a cool scar now, with a cool story behind it... at least I think so...

I will decline from mentioning reccess since nothing of interest occured during that time

* history; whilst we sat listening to the teacher go on about domestic policy in Russia under Stalin a large numer of

[insert word here]
[insert word here] good
[insert word here]
just like you should's

were written in lucy's book... we proceeded to dance to our little tune
this leads us back too

* english; the lesson I am currently in in which I have spent the past 30 minutes writing this longwinded and unnecessarily detailed analysis of my uninteresting life... the portion of it which has occured in the past five hours

now I think I have written far too much than is necessary at all so I shall leave it at that

observations on life

a brand new blog to abandon... wonder how long this one'll last (yes, I did just make up my own grammar, what of it). I have succeeded in modifying it to my liking, it is now pretty... in my opinion

anyway, I have some observations from today's passage through time:
* uno. as I was walking home, there was a lineup of cars waiting at the traffic lights. there was a young girl in one car and as I walked past it she stared out of the window at me before sticking out her tongue at me. I passed her car, the line moved so the car was in front of me. again, I walked past the car. again, the girl stuck out her tongue at me. This continued until her mother got past the lights and I crossed the road.

that child needs something better to do with her time, I have never seen her before in my life, somehow I warrant a good view of her tongue... interesting

* dos. it has been raining on and off all day. regardless, I had to walk home (as can be gathered from the above). anyway, the weather held pretty steady with no rain while I walked home. just as I stepped under the veranda and began to get my key out of my bag, it started to rain. heavily. how's that for lucky.

my sister turned up at the front door 10 minutes later. soaked.

that is all for today, I may be back later with more thoughts for the collection

ramble ramble ramble

here we have a brand new blog, born of the boredom of an English lesson in which I am supposed to be writing an essay... or at least the oral I have declined to finish. If not for the fact that my teacher is not here that would have proved quite problematic, but no matter.

Wow! Blogger saves my drafts automatically, thanks blogger, how convenient

anyway, I am Lucinda, and I have to go, lesson is over and I have an art excursion to go to
